ScatterGun Adds New
Waterfowl Area
Every year tens of thousands of waterfowl migrate south just
minutes from ScatterGun Lodge. This year for the first time
guests will be offered the opportunity to enjoy some of the
finest goose hunting in North America during their visit to
ScatterGun Lodge.
Our new hunting area, just ten minutes from the lodge will
feature two separate shooting areas. Both areas are equipped
with comfortable, state of the art, underground pits. Your hunt
for both ducks and geese will be over decoys and of course be
fully guided. Waterfowl hunting is always best after
mid-November so make your reservations accordingly.

A major plus when it comes
to water fowling is the fact
that you do not need to
apply in advance for a
non-resident license. Local
landowners several years ago
offered to set aside acreage
for public hunting in
exchange for the state
offering a special three day
non resident license that
would be good only on
private land. The license is
$75 and can be purchased at
the lodge.
Keep in mind that
our waterfowl season does
not really get into full
swing until mid-November. It
continues all the way
through December, which
means our late season
hunting can really be a
special experience. The
daily hunt fee for waterfowl
is $75 per gun and it is not
included in our standard
