Prime hunting is not about acres, it is about habitat
The smell of homemade breads, giant
cinnamon rolls and fresh coffee are the beginning of your day at
ScatterGun. By 7:30 AM it's time for a breakfast you will never
forget. By 9AM your
new super bus, complete with guides and
dogs, will be rolling down the driveway for another incredible
wing shooting adventure. Gun preference is either 12 or 20 gauge
and we offer guns for guest use, free of charge. Each of our
guides has three to four wonderful
ScatterGun Retrievers and our
guide to guest ratio is less than four to one. Our dogs are best
described as unbelievable. We hunt in groups of no more than
eight guns offering the finest possible shooting opportunities
for every member of your group. |

Our 3000 acre
ranch is divided into more than twenty prime hunting areas. The
diverse habitat provides virtually every kind of cover you could
imagine, from expansive food plots of sorghum, corn, millet and
native grasses to over five miles of winding creek bottom. All
of our hunting is less than ten minutes from the front door.
Prime hunting is not about acres, it is about habitat. Because
we do no commercial farming and have no livestock, the entire
ranch has been devoted to the development of the finest hunting
habitat to be found anywhere in the state. |

success of our habitat program has allowed us to offer
the most generous limits in South Dakota.
Twenty-one birds per gun means you get to spend
more time hunting. Don't be surprised to see twenty to a
hundred birds in the air at the same time.
After a great lunch back
at the lodge and a few minutes to relax you're headed
back to the field to fill out your daily limit. When
your done, enjoy a round of sporting clays or just sit
and relax. You will have made lots of great memories
that you will never forget.
